Stainless Steel Car

Postby JO 753 » Tue Sep 05, 2017 4:12 pm

Everybody rememberz the Delorean.

Its initial claim to fame wuz that its made uv stainless steel, but being an integral part uv a Hollywood blockbuster amplifyd its plase in the collectiv memory.

I beleev carz shoud alwayz be made uv ss or at least sum other non-rust prone material. Even tho regular steel iz very cheap, the expens uv trying to prevent rust probably erasez most if not all the cost savingz and then future repairz due to rust make it way more expensiv.

My car still haz ALOT uv rot, but I'v been replasing particularly rust prone areaz with ss. Last yir I finally got front fenderz and, even tho the bottom portion behind the weel arch on the replasements were in OK condition, I cut them off and made ss copyz.

This summer, I did the quarter panelz. The final step in the project iz this making-uv video:

Based on how well it turned out, I hope to get sum biz making ss body parts.
Tired uv Trump yet? I am:
