Problem has been resolved, the universe is in balance, the tiny error in code was found and the world works the way it should. Thank goodness.

Re: Solution to Monty Hall Problem

Fundamental principle derivable from the Monty Hall problem:

If you switch you win the opposite prize to the one initially selected.

Just try to make your opinion compatible with this principle. Or try to disprove the principle.

Whereas we agree that switching wins the opposite prize to the one initially selected, consider what happens if players always switch:

In 1/3 of games on average, a player chooses the car and switches to a goat. In 2/3 of games on average, a player chooses a goat and switches to the car. Thus, overall, the players win the car by switching in 2/3 of games assuming players always switch.

Robert mind if this thread is deleted, we reviewed the code, and the tiniest of errors was causing all this fuss? I am so glad this all worked out right. And ya know what, hopefully this made me and others a little smarter in the process :D .

Don't rely on computers: they only do what they are told. Glad you found the error.
